  The Mantua Township Municipal Utilities Authority was created by an ordinance adopted in 1973 by the Township of Mantua under the Laws of New Jersey, P.L. 1957, Chapter 183, page 634, Section 1 (Chapter 14B of Title 40 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey).

The potable Water System consist of 4 wells in the Raritan, treatment consists of the addition of chlorine, and 3 wells in the Mt. Laurel Wenonah that are connected to a state of the art iron removal filter treatment plant. The Water Distribution System has 44.65 miles of pipe varying in size up to 12" in diameter. The Sanitary Sewer Collection Systems has 22.44 miles of pipe and 4 lift stations with the sewage being sent to the Gloucester County Utilities Authority for treatment.

The Authority currently employs an Executive Director, Superintendent, 2 office and 6 operation personnel. 

Office hours are 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday thru Friday.
